Hymavathi, 36, hailing from Jukalapalli Village in Bhupalali District, faced the challenge of losing her ability to walk due to polio in her childhood. Despite being from a lower-middle-class family with six sisters and parents working as a laborers and handloom workers, she demonstrated resilience. Initially confined to home, she fought for her education, directly securing a seat in the fifth class and completing her 10th grade in a government school with the help of a tricycle. Although she faced discrimination and challenges during her intermediate and postgraduate education, she persisted, setting up a small grocery shop at home and learning tailoring. Despite not finding employment due to her disability and lack of skills, she joined the DEHUB training program, seeking to start an innovative business that suits her needs and proves her capabilities. Now she is ready with her idea to start a boutique in her village.
